Matters
Arising: Some discussion on National System and
repeater licences as paid by NZART. Correspondence:
IN: Q-Bit, Letter from NZART acknowledging our one re
online forum abuse, Wanganui Chronicle “Become a Member” supplement
notice.
OUT:
Jeff ZL2THO read out a draft of a letter to go to The
Hunters and Stalkers re their building state. The meeting felt a
phone call would suffice.

National System Project Report: Mike ZL1BNB
reported all fine and going OK. He will be busy for three months or
so, so will leave ant and earthing jobs in the meantime. He
will read meter soon to determine power
usage.
General
Business:

ZL1BNB reported that Colin ZL2WM will stream the National System
over our
website. There will be about 100sec
delay.
2. Barry ZL2RR reported all on track for the Junk Sale and Ian
Stephens is available as auctioneer.
3. ZL2RR also reported that there has been an
application from Japan for the Wanganui
Award.

Leo ZL2BGE moved a vote of thanks to Ivan ZL2ATU and Pat for the fine job they did in hosting
our 2007 Christmas Function. Seconded by Russell ZL2AXN. Carried with
applause...
5. 4. David ZL2MA reported that he had made inquiries with the
Trafalgar Square management on us running a display there.The matter was
discussed and some obstacles identified such as how to get a coax out of
the complex. Left in abeyance.
6. The forthcoming National Fieldday was
discussed. Ivan ZL2ATU offered his
caravan if it gets it’s warrant. The club’s generator state is
unknown. Mathew ZL2MAT offered to ring
Jim ZL2KR for an
update.
7. Russell ZL2AXN ventured that the committee should investigate
the possibility of having invited speakers address monthly meetings.
Various ideas were put forward by members present including combining with
Marton and Palmerston North branches .

Mike ZL1BNB talked about “Amateur
Logic TV” on the Web. He will endeavour to bring a sample to show at
the next meeting. Such things as a tour of the MFJ factory are
documented.
